Siren

Upon a ship the sailors sail...

She sang to them,
Wailing beautiful and uneasy notes.
The sea sprayed its foam upon their faces
As they leaned to hear her voice...
                       It's unearthly sound resonated in the unnaturally silent storm.
All that mattered was her.
There--
           Singing their lullaby into death.
