My Best Friend

It happens to everyone, and this time it happened to us.

From the day we met
I knew we would be best friends

You were so true
And unbelievably cute

The thought of seeing you
Brought butterflies inside me

I told you my life
And you did the same

But when it came to secrets
I could always trust you to keep them

You were my best friend
And my love for you started to grow

I spent restless nights
Wondering when we'd meet again

You were everything
I hoped to find in a man and more

You were always there
When I needed a friend

        .....

A month had past
And finally it happened

"Manda
Will you go out with me?"

My heart stopped
And the world froze

....."YES!"
 
        .....

We were best friends
Who suddenly turned to lovers
