A Word or Two On the Subject of Red Bluejays

A black man sits on a tree, legs bent,
Perched.
Lily seeds laced in the hair of
Mother Melancholy,
Braided in like sperm cells' flagellum wrapped around an
Egg
Of a woman lost to a love forced upon
Her
In a place dark as the shiny exoskeleton
Of
A spineless black ant.
Grazing
In the Fields of Emptiness,
Filled
With Everything of Nothing.

In
The far away galaxies of the eyes of
A
Child's pupils, lost in the love of
Oneself,
A red bluejay giggles its china
Tune,
Speaking of lies as true as untold,
Of
A time when mistakes were beauty,
And
Imperfection was God.
