Total randomness....

We're the kids you see in the hallway,

that look like death but sexy.

We're the ones siting in the cafeteria,

drinking vodka with pepsi.

We're the teenagers on the bus,

banging our heads to hardcore metal tunes.

As you sit there staring at us,

wanting so badly to do it too.

We're the ones you wish you were,

but know you'll never be.

Because as we see you trying to pose as us,

we're thinkin SKANK PLEASE!

Rachael....this giveses me painful thoughts of how we'll never ride the bus together ever again unless we go on vacation somewhere that has buses OH GOD, WHY?!

And Why haven't I yet pulled the pepsi and vodka?

I'm far too old to want to be sitting in the cafeteria drinking vodka with pepsi
or banging my head to metal tunes on the bus

When I was in HS we used to put vodka in oranges with syringes
and eat them with a smile - oh so sneaky - to get by with it - in plain sight - that feels so great!
punk was in - the mohawk, black lipstick, safety pins were fashion essentials

Now, when I see pics from back then, when I thought everyone wanted to be like "us"
I hide them as if hiding evidence that as soon as I stopped watching cartoons
I tried to become one.

You may think I'm being a witch saying these things, but what you can't see - is
that I'm smiling and your youth is a joy to read....makes me remember how that felt...
and I'm sure if you save this - years from now - when you are in your forties like me...
you'll get it - how innocent the line "looking like death, but sexy" - really is.

I think I am one of those kids! =] and everyones is just looking at me funny
