Another DayA Poem by MarinaYeah, just another one yet.My eyes are following the muddy stream of nothingness That slowly flows into the void of chaos Right next to the supermarket Εverything eventually ends up in that corner Waste, dead cats, hopes, my sleep Next to the big green garbage can I can see an old man limping I guess his frugal existence gained another pound And now it’s slowly fermenting on his wounded knee He passed right underneath my balcony I was clinging to its edge As if it was something more than just A dirty, rotten metal edge As if my existence depended upon it And I didn’t notice Time Slowly erasing me from the picture Making me a speck of dust Getting pierced by the sunlight © 2016 MarinaReviews
