Mary had a Little Problem

Mary had a Little Problem

A Poem by Honey

Mary had a little problem that followed her everywhere,

It stole her time, It played her mind,

It left her conscience bare.

It persued her to school one day,

Which was way out of line.

Her teachers gasped, and shouted back,

"You better do the time!"

They sent her home, and called her mom,

But momma didn't hear.

She slapped her cheeks, didn't let her speak,

Just made her get some beer.

Mary trucked up to her room,

Consuming all her pills,

They told her that she had to stop,

But they couldn't feel the thrill.

Mary lives no longer, though her body is still here.

She's always drunk, her eyes are sunk,

But most won't shed a tear.

Mary could have been helped out,

When she was just a child.

No one really wanted to,

They watched as her troubles slowly piled.
