You Should KnowA Poem by Poet PittinixLove and blues.I don’t understand what’s
happening. Do I have to spell out my
feelings? Anyone could see that I’m
in love with you. I thought you knew all
along. We’ve been seeing each other
lately. How come you didn’t
realize it? Haven’t you noticed the
look in my eyes? I’ve told you
complimentary things. And I’ve treated you very kindly. We often have lunch
together at KFC. I wait for you after work
in the evenings. Sometimes we go window-shopping
at the plaza. And we ride home on the
same bus. Yet you want to know if we’re
just friends Or if I have romantic feelings
for you. Should I answer that
question? You’re an intelligent girl
so you should know. You seem somewhat
surprised, But I think you’re not
being honest with me. You’re wondering what my
intention is. I’m puzzled by your
ignorance of my love for you. Come on, you can do better
than that. Now you’re planning to
marry someone else. How do you think it makes
me feel? All the time we’ve spent
together, You never mentioned another
person. Isn’t that rather strange,
Isabella? Oh, I feel like such an
idiot. I can’t believe you’re
doing this to me. © 2025 Poet PittinixAuthor's Note
