My Poems

An explanation of my poetry.

Some critics say I compose good poems,

Others regard my work as nonsense

My poems can interest or bore you

It depends on how you view the words

I write about the past and the present

And sometimes I create fictional stories

 

I pen poesy and free verse to please myself

I’ve never tried to impress the readers

My poems contain sensitive and taboo subjects

If you’re a narrow-minded person,

Don’t comment on my compositions

I don’t take kindly to negative criticisms

 

I express myself through my writings

Read my poems with rhythm and cadence,

And you’ll get the substance of poetry

My poems open the window of my mind

If you don’t like the poems I write,

Go and write your own compositions

[Green]

Some people take their self appointed job as reviewers on this site far too seriously. Some people also don't leave "reviews" they just attack or ramble or any number of other unrelated behavior. I used to not believe in blocking but with the site being unmoderated, I have an ever growing list of blocked users. You should never have to explain yourself or your work to someone else, but this was very direct and to the point.
