This is a poem for a wedding anniversary.

Permit me to interpret the significance of your name.

 

S-H-E-L-L-Y

 

S is for suspense.

It describes my condition while I awaited your reply.

 

H is for honesty.

This is one of the fine characteristics that you possess.

 

E is for ethics.

It’s the basis for measuring equity and integrity.

 

L is for love.

This is the main thing that brought us here today.

 

L also is for loyalty.

It’s a quality that we must have to keep our vows alive.

 

Y is for year.

It calculates the quantity of time that we’ll be together.
