The Girl And The Freedom PotA Story by Martiya DamanMishti and her brothers are poor. One day, she goes shopping. What happens?
Once there was a girl named Mishti. She was poor and wise. She had three brothers. They lived on the side of a tree with two mattresses. They would eat potatoes every day. One day, Mishti and one brother went shopping with the remaining money they had. "Sissy, sissy! How much money do we have?" She replied "24 rupees Shail. A potato costs six. Enough for us." She suddenly turned around. She found herself face to face a pot. "I need that to store water from the faraway lake! Every day we have to go to the lake just to drink a few sips of water!" The shopkeeper, hearing this, replied 'It will be of six rupees.' She passed the money and held the pot carefully. "What have you done sissy! One of us won't eat now!" Said the brother. "Dear, you never know how a pot can be useful. And that one of us is me." They walked home. The brothers munched on the potatoes. "Hmmmmm... Guess I will just drink water." She thought. She walked on the footpath barefoot to the lake. Right before she filled the pot, a sheet fell out. "What's this!" She thought. She picked it up and read it. She fell to her knees and looked at it. She then shouted, "Thank you God!!!" Turns out, she got the declaration of the village she lives nearby and got the pot. The village was under a rule but got saved by freedom fighters. This was the pot which the paper was stored. It had been unknown which pot had it. Mishti ran to a shop and said she will sell the pot for 30 rupees. But people nearby jumped and increased the price. There was a total chaos. After a while a rich man bought it for a million rupees. She freaked out and ran to her brothers and told them everything. Soon, they bought their own mansion and lived a happy life after that.
