My Mother's Advice

How my mother helped me to become a better writer with just some advice.

A few days ago, before I was a writer in this app, I wanted to become an author. I was searching for an app that I could post stories in. And I came across this one. I made my account and posted my first one "The parrot who lost a wing". 

Soon, I posted more. A few days later, this reached to my parents and when I came to talk to them, their faces were beaming with smiles. A few days later, I went to talk to my mother when my dad went to Kolkata (A place in India).

 I talked to my mother about this app. She asked, "How did you get on Top Writers?" I replied, "The more stories we write, the more famous we get." She was looking at me. I didn't know what she was going to say. 

She replied "Writing more stories doesn't make you famous. Writing good stories will make you famous and special. Everything will happen automatically when you write good." She gave me an example. 

"Roald Dahl only became famous because of his good writing, not more stories. A person may read one of your stories, but if they don't like it, they will never go to your profile ever again. They will only come back if you write good stories." 

 I never forgot this advice, and that's what made me a good author, then poetress.

First of all, I am very happy that you have a supportive and communicative family. They are very proud of their daughter. But I think what matters is what you think of your poems. You've been here for a while and you've probably noticed that no one may read your best poems, but that doesn't make them any less valuable. At the end of the day, everything you write belongs to you and you alone make it valuable.It's always nice when people comment on your poems, but that doesn't make it any more valuable. I hope you always write your poems and stories just because you love them. I think the reason you are so successful is because you share the work you love and trust.

You are half right and your mother is half right. It's all about writing lots of good stories with a few other little tricks. An eye catching title helps, reading others and commenting to get reciprocal reads and being lucky. Great write
