Before the First StepA Chapter by Martiya Daman
At evening 6:00, on April 8th, 2015, I had my first breath. I was born in a hospital. After a few days, I took my first glance at my house. My parents put me in a pink cradle, and I drank upon my mother's milk. My father would go to office and my mom would work at home. They were engineers, which is why they work so hard. I often played with toys and was very curious. Most toys don't exist now. One of them is the Jhoola Hammock. It was like a water wheel making music. When I grew up and became 6 months old. That was when I stared at a pigeon and called it "Bhooko" and that was the first thing I ever said. Fast forward to 1 year old, I went to Andaman, I did my first step, and my first words were "Chai lao!" Meaning, "Take tea!" There are many photos of my childhood. There is one of me wearing a rainbow dress and being in a nursery or being in a porch of a hotel in a beach in Andaman. At 3, I went to Goa. That's all I remember. The oldest years of my life I remember is when I was 4. All about that next time.
