Something Against Force

Something Against Force

A Poem by Martiya Daman

Something Against Force
I felt the force of love,
But there was something like a shove,
I felt the force of fear,
which was very near.

When I have problem with the force of life,
It is frozen just like ice,
When I see my parents,
I forget about achievements.

When I look into someone's eyes,
I never feel the force to rise,
I never feel ever so wise,
I don't even know if I am right.

When there's force with pain,
I feel fear in my veins,
When there's something against force,
I feel alone in another verse.

To an extent, it's psychological; so "force" is what people perceive it to be - in this context. There are some emotional responses, which our human physiology is geared to respond to; in a fixed variety of ways. Particularly, when our "fight or flight" mode; needs to be triggered (for example).

Our personalities also influence, what we regard to as "force"; when we're confronted by different situations and stimulations.

Alternatively, this piece may be more about energy forces; or life forces? Either, in a scientific way; or in terms of spiritual forces?

Of course, only the writer knows for sure; and "force" of some kind - seems to be something which she fears. As adults, most people learn to just accept; that facing up to our fears is essential. And, so; it's tough when people deny or fight against "forces" which they cannot really - either avoid or control.

there is a strange energy guiding us in life. a force, that's as fitting as any other word. i dont know what to call it. and as we are tossed and turned by these forces, feeling like a leaf lost in a breeze, there comes a slight desire to just give in to it. 'When there's something against force, I feel alone in another verse.' i feel i should ride this wave and hope i can surf it towards the shore.
