CHAPTER 6: THE SAGE

CHAPTER 6: THE SAGE

A Chapter by Martiya Daman

“Sir, you are going to teach me? What is your name sir? I am Dina.” “I am the great sage, Rabi.” He said, his eyes not coming out of Dina’s sight. So… what do I have to learn first?

“Wear this belt and marigold first. They can support you more.A black belt and a marigold were given to her.

Rabi went to a cliff and gave Dina a wooden axe, him holding his iron axe. “Today, we will make your wings, and you will be part of the Evolian empire.” Rabi said. “But I need to return to Earth with the wings, what do you mean part?” She asked. “Kiddo, you can’t- The surface opens every ten thousand years. You were unlucky you fell when ten thousand years were done.” Dina still smiled, but she was sad on the inside. What were her parents feeling, were her friends okay? Her mom waving at the car, her dad’s laugh in the morning… gone forever. ‘All this happens; we just have to let it go.’ Dina thought.

Dina looked down at the cliff and saw a sliver river. “First, we will do walk gliding, this doesn’t require wings. This cliff behaves like Anthoisian so you don’t have to worry. In your world, do you call it Urampolines? Krampolines? Tramyolines?

“Trampolines.” Dina answered. She read Rabi also went to Earth once as a punishment. Rabi raised his axe high, and Dina copied. “Now face forward, put your axe in your belt and just walked forward off the cliff.” She followed the instructions and ran instead. She was walk gliding! “You can do same stuff on any surface.” Just as she was about to see if you could do ‘jump gliding’, Rabi faced the axe down and controlled Dina. She fell into the river and bounced up.

She immediately knew what to do.  She raised the axe, faced forward, put the axe in the side of the belt, and ran straight. She walk- glided out of the river! She slipped, and her axe fell into the river. She fell onto an Anthoisian sort of land, and bounced high into the sky, and landed back. Rabi jumped down, too.
