CHAPTER 7: THE AXE

“Ms. Dina, your axe fell into the river.” Rabi said, looking at wet Dina. “I am expert at swim-” “It’s forward gliding in water. This is not Earth, this is Evolian, remember? We speak different.” Rabi said, annoyed. Dina jumped into the river. 

 

She went deep and saw three axes. One was a diamond one, the second was a gold one and the last was her wooden axe. She couldn’t pick three axes otherwise she would drown due to their heavy weight. She couldn’t pick one. She had to make one move.  

 

She swiftly picked the wooden one and returned back to the surface. “I got my axe back sir!” She spoke. “Well done, your lesson is done for today!” he said with a smirk. “Sir, who is the person who will destroy the demons? Ria, Miss Mary’s daughter, told me that there will be person coming here that will destroy them and only you know.” 

 

“Uh... I can’t tell, but for sure, it is not you. I don’t really see much future in you.” Rabi said seriously. “Rude.” Dina replied. “Thanks sir.” 

 

She walked away with her axe back to the castle, back to her room, closed the door shut. She could still remember a month later it was her birthday and marked it on her calendar. She looked at her axe and was astonished. It is a diamond axe! She smiled and knew she was rewarded for being honest. The axe brought a faint glow in return.
