Wounds

Wounds

A Poem by Mary Bosworth

Although you still view me
broken, with gaping wounds
discarded as unfixable
You've decided that I'm unworthy
of love, caresses and kisses
The saving grace of healing
shall mend all my wounds
restore my heart and soul
So next time you view me
I shall be rendered whole
fully capable to reject you

A powerful affirmation of strength that more women need to know they possess. Kudos and welcome to the Café.

This is a piece that I am sure many can relate to. No one wants to be treated as though they are worthless, and when someone does throw you away like that it feels wonderful to be able to get up again and be capable of telling them that they aren't worth it to you either. Beautiful work here.

There are a few people I love I desire to show this poem to. . . It's short, but moving, and I wish it was easier for those I know who are more broken then I to find this optimism in their hearts.

True strength comes through after heartbreak. Well done showing the hidden strength inside.

This is a very beautiful way to express one's comeback from a broken heart and shattered relationship. The way you expressed the loss and the healing process was delicate, yet strong. This poem could go even further if you wanted it to. The process of breaking and the process of mending could be taken even further into a beautiful journey of life. Thank you for sharing and keep up the good work.

WOW!
Greatly written.
You reached into my heart and mind and captured what I'd never been able to say.
