The Wanting

The feeling of losing a loved one

ALONE NOW

My life is a bare tree

now that you have left me

Alone

I think of us together everyday

when we used to laugh our times away

My heart yearns for you

Yet I know, it's no use

Still I keep wishing you were here 

to wipe away these burning tears

The happiness I'm trying to find

has long gone

Now I just stare upon the chair 

where you always sat

holding me in your arms

You were my life,

my reason to live

Why did you have to go?

I can't sleep at night

when I close my eyes,

all I see is your darkened face

My world has disappeared before me

Like fading stars

I'm an empty sky
