Flower

Who owns the flower on grass?

Not nature or ecology
Providence has no ownership
Nor the magical palms of god

Bees have no claim
Yet butterflies linger in gain

But who owns the flower
That rises from the earth
And fades in to time?

Stem is just the shoulder
Wind is only a suitor
Sun is but a liberator
And the petals, beauty's narrator

So who owns the flower?
Perhaps it's the lover........
