just a songA Poem by Tim Lionthere rings a celestial tune, like a ragtime explosion, people actually climb inside of this invisible mindcraft, and float off into a dancing sea of momentary forgetfulness, warm waves of nothingness cleanse every pore of the spongy soul, all psychosocial filth runs away, leaving just the sweet kernel; the unscarred child, to move freely about the universe; kick, shout, wiggle, dream; a moment of thoughtless paradise, unaffiliated with the woeful thorns of this tangled societal briar we’ve created. it is a glorious sensation. I knew her myself, once, before the curs of conformity gnawed me to my cynical frame.
perhaps, it wasn't the song at all. perhaps, I was just happier then. © 2012 Tim LionReviews
