KnowledgeA Poem by Tim Lionthe big b*****d wall is dissolving: Pornocopia has bled into the Mickey Mouse Pavilion, and our infant eyes have blown open like bloody roses, Good and Evil are playing patty cake with cross-eyed missiles as Plenty drowns Poor in his own magical wishing well, and God is filming it all for YouTube. one million hits. ten million bruises. I sip a thorny Crown and Seven, and wonder how long we have before the streets are overrun with wolf howl cries and maniacal laughter. sleep with a tank under your pillow, lie, and tell everyone you love them, there’s no knowing which way the tsunami’s headed, no money to pay for the damage it will do. just a bunch of deformed moral characters dressed up like army men and preachers, having a Mexican standoff on the cusp of destruction and distraction. when the Jack finally pops from the box, we’ll all be swallowed up by monsters of our own creation. it’s not the fires, floods, and bankruptcies that’ll kill you; it’s the knowing who’s in control: Nobody. © 2012 Tim LionFeatured Review
