THE FREEZING PAWSA Poem by Medhawas connected to a cat last year, never found it past summer. We’re here again, it’s winter All over again. Having a rush of emotions, It’s adrenaline. This is the memory I hinder, Buried in late November, the commotions, It has no medicine. Here it was breathing its last moments, Tears on verge of falling; had to be held back. It’s excruciating. Whatsoever, there seems no condolence. Is there a way to bring the cat to come back? It’s tragic. It laid on the ground, no movement Not even with its favourite treats. “It’s dead.” They said but I know, again, it’ll bring amusement. The pounding of heart, it’s no peace. “It’s goodbye.” © 2024 MedhaReviews
