my punishing pain and the wars of saints

my punishing pain and the wars of saints

A Poem by winter;lyra

I  can feel my pain

It's in my way

In my lane

I wake insane

Whose name tricks my gaze?

Flames and saints rage entangled

I throw my lance and hope it lands atop my enemy's banner

Though the hammer of God is heavier

What nebula of ire

What miasma of profanity

I can taste my pain

It is my fame

It is my reign

It is my name

So the Lord said

I stay awake
