Mystery Street

Mystery Street

A Poem by Megangel1327
"

The best mysteries are the ones left mysterious and unsolved.

"

Jump ropes bounce off the street,

in time to silly rhymes and balls

bouncing on concrete.

Old ladies sitting inside complaining

about the heat and the young folks

sitting outside on the steps.

A shadow darkens the street corner,

A shadow the shape of a man.

The street quiets, no balls or ropes to be seen.

The oh-so-brave youth inside with their grandmas'

As the man turns down to walk their street.
