Your Truth

Your Truth

A Poem by Meghan.E

Fear overcomes each of us

every so often.

It screams our names in the night,

waking us from our most pleasant dreams.

Of course, we hold on tightly

to what keeps us safe.

Sadly, this is usually

not quite enough.

Nobody wants to hurt

more than love,

this is just a way of life.

But, I know you

and I konw

your struggle.

The lot you have

been through is

inconceivable to most.

To me, it is just you.

Please know you are

not flawed,

but rather, unique.

You did not choose

your fate by any

means.

Do you wish you had?

What you show me

is light;

the light of

appreciation.

You live for the moment,

as it should be for all.

The fear Monster has

hidden with you

too often.

It stops now,

because I am here.
