Cruel Queen

Cruel Queen

A Poem by Melissa Kester

I like to play games
Seductive and sadistic
I like to call names
And make those lives twisted

I like to pluck the strings of fate
And see what I can draw from hate
Play my game and you might escape
But only if you call check mate

My poisoned kiss will fill your lungs
Your heart will beat against my drums
My silly lies will weave their web
And bring you in to warm my bed

My scheming ways have won again
And now you've lost the game
The contract signed by blooded pen
And mine you became

Work my magic and weave my spell
Worship me and serve me well
For I am your cruel queen
And you are a puppet upon my string

This is a twisted tale of misfortunate love. Poor guy picked the wrong queen for sure. I love the story woven in this piece.

Warm my?
