A Poem by Melinda F. Shepard

I sit here staring at this blank page
The words I want to form
Hide behind this simple poem
Words of love of hate
Longing and insecurity
Questions line my mind
Do you really love me?
Why do you in one moment draw me near?
In another shove me away
These words battle through my mind
Tearing it
Apart
