Rejection

Rejection

A Poem by Melinda F. Shepard

In the dark I watch your fleeting form
Here I stand with open hands
You will never see my pleading eyes
Closing our your rejection

Only in my dreams can I hold you near
I dare not open my eyes
Forever you will be gone
The darkness hides you from me
In vain I search
In pain you rune hiding from me

With tear washed eyes
I fade away
