Lover

Lover

A Poem by Melinda F. Shepard

Quietly I sit here alone
And waiting
The day turns new
And I wait
They day grows old
And I wait
Through out the night
I wait
The daylight passes
And I wait
Quietly I sit and wait
Watching while you play
Your games and dance around
With others in your arms
I yearn to be in their place
You just shake your head
And tell me to wait

Then one day you come near
Kissing your hellos
Sweetly you talk
kissing your words to my ear
The time fades fast
You kiss your good-byes
Telling me to wait a little more
Like a lovesick dove
I wait

Wow, does this person know how you feel,,,I mean truly know how you feel...
This is sad, and you shouldn't be treated this way, maybe you need to talk with them to clear the air.
