Turn away

Turn away

A Poem by Melinda F. Shepard

I’m falling apart inside
Of two hearts and two minds
They battle for control
Over this bettered soul

Neither can win
For doom will follow that day
One of two loves will be lost
Half my soul will die
More will be lost
If the battle rages

Lover mine leave me
Let half my soul die
Tear me to pieces
Rip out my heart and bury it
For this is the only way
To save you

Be free of my damning soul
Flee now
For I will shirley hurt you

I must push you away
I can not lose my first love
He must not find
That two hold my soul

Please hate me, leave me
Spit your foul words at
