Damn my eyes, telling on me

They change color with you -

I feel them behind my lids

As if trying to reach you

And it's crazy, 'cuz I'd have never thought

Author's Note

I do not see myself doing anything more with this. I kind of like it as it is, albeit seemingly incomplete. It puts me in mind of Ani DiFranco, "Sometimes the spaces she leaves have their own things to say." I am trying to leave room for growth without expectation, over analyzing, pecking to death, aiming for perfection, predicting, or putting things in a box. I'm working on allowing myself to be in the moment and just enjoy!

sometimes we feel as writers that more is better.
I believe when you've made your point....it's time.
I know exactly what you're saying by how you describe the moment...and after all, it's the moment you are relating to the reader.
