I know you are afraid,
But wait and see
At the greatness coming to be -
Between us, around us, interconnectively.
Because?
Not some magic mile marker of time and boundaries,
But I am no longer a piece of a piece of a piece.
I do not know what it took,
But I finally became whole -
Not a halfling out looking for my "matching"
Halfling of a soul.
I wasn't looking. I was not in need,
Not particularly caged in my freedom,
Nor lonely, nor bleeding.
I met you,
You who are also whole.
I wasn't searching
But I saw your soul.
I see you have scars,
As so do I.
I see and sense both experiences we have lived
And experiences we have denied.
When I am lucky,
We share as friends
Serendipitous and true.
Upon further blessings,
We embrace as more despite our fears;
Humbly humming with unequaled pleasure,
Our defenses find an unsettling form of sincere:
RENEWED!
