You are still seeking,

While at least part of my journey

Is right in front of me

In you.

I do not admire you so

As to see you as other than human.

I have you on no pedestal.

Your constant current seeking,

Whilst I understand and find beautiful,

Is a testament to said humanity.

I'd not disrupt your song.

I do wish I could be a

Gift,

And maybe in a sense

I am.

And too, as for a reward -

Which in a sense I believe you are.

Some people don't just come and go.

While I appreciate you,

I am not here to use you in any way -

Healing or otherwise.

I do not see you as a stepping stone

Or a pebble of learning along for a ride in my shoe,

Yet sense perhaps that's what you'd have me be.

This being the case, or not, is up to you.
