Sleeves

Sleeves

A Poem by Melobldnfr
"

Do you not know How your laughter and light affect me?

"

11/17/15

I stepped away in the bookstore,

Not out of any embarrassment of you.

Quite the contrary.

Do you not know

How your laughter and light affect me?

You were having a flash.

Me adding my warmth to yours

Would not have helped.

I wanted to help you loose your sleeves,

But in that moment -

Had my skin made contact with yours -

I may have had to finally, finally kiss you.

Thus, I stepped away.

I thought it best at the moment,

But now wish I'd have been more assertive.

I could have at least taken your sleeves.

I wonder, what'd you be doin' with his "Sleeves" (if in case, you'd got one...) *Just Playing*

Nice shot. Every single time, whenever a word "Bookstore" (or anything related to literature) comes forward in words, I find the write more pleasurable & "assertive" reading ... cos, there's always much hidden 'bout "bookstores" and sweeten love-kisses - the love, of course.
