Death of innocence

He heard the sickeningly sweet words 

Temptation kissed along his jaw line 

The soothing echoes 

Deception traced along his skin 

He lost himself for just a moment 

Only when Corruption sank her teeth in 

Did he realize it was too late

Author's Note

The three main culprits aside from ourselves that destroy our innocence. No it's not a vampire poem, think in terms of politics or the seven deadly sins, humanity.

No not at all, it has nothing to do with vampires actually. Corruption, deception, and temptation are some if the few things that destroy innocence.
