Bitter

My thoughts of you 

Were cotton candy 

And lollipop squares  

Our lips met 

Your bitter grapefruit 

Taste shattered 

My shackled sight   

I spit you out 

As fast as I could 

Brushed my teeth 

And washed my tongue   

But there your

Bitter taste still stood 

Destroying my sweet visions 

Of everlasting good
