Unrequited love

He is the sun and I the moon

I whisper as I watch him shine brightly in the sky

Basking in his warmth

As we dance around each other

Waiting for him to notice me

Forever locked in a game of tag

Out of reach,

Yet so close I can taste his laughter fluttering in the wind

Sending my body a blaze as I listen quietly

Waiting for the day he sees me

So different yet, so similar

When will he see I am here?

When will he let me in?

For he is my sun
