When The Darkness Triumphs

When The Darkness Triumphs

A Poem by Mia Rockwell

I'm thinking too much
I'm killing myself
Somebody stop this!
Somebody help!

Why is no one coming?
I can't hear a sound.
I'm looking all over,
but there's no one to be found.

Oh wait.

....I'm alone.

I'm the one that pushed every connection away.

They tried to help, they tried to love.

I wouldn't let one person stay.

I let the darkness inside finally triumph.

Now here I am...writing to myself...because I thought my biggest misery would be...

to let somebody help.

Them feels.. so sad.. plz find your happiness and find it f*****g fast. Don't stay all alone. Go and leave your home. Becone free again and be my one friend. Okay poetry aside. Nice rhymes and a good flow. Heartfelt feelings and moving stuff. I like the way you tone down the density of the lines. It gives the poem a gasping and excrutiating feel to it.

Im the one that pushed away every connection.
They tried to help, they tried to love.

Strong lines, but they seem a bit flat to me. Maybe you could have taken
Taken way the second "they" so the line would be "they tried to help, tried to love." I dont know.
You know better than me and do what ever the f**k you want.
