A farewell

A farewell

A Poem by Micado
"

To the one person that will never see this.

"
You heard my words,
They rang through you,
And told just the truth.
You saw my works,
They spoke to you,
And showed you my truth.

So now as the world begins to crumble,
I am standing, and shaking, then stilling,
In front of what you tried to say.

I did not listen well enough to the rubbles
Clanking against the ground, quaking in warning,
And I lost the meaning of your stay.

I should be thankful for all I had,
I should thankful for all that was,
And I am,
And I try to be.

I will simply need time,
To mend what was mine,
And so tenderly coveted,
In hopes to one day get ahead.

So I will cherish silently,
So I will flourish inevitably.
