during the dark days.....

 

The tempting of time

Wanting life forevermore

Sacrificing the soul

For temporary bliss

Living in eternal darkness

Only wanting forgiveness

Falling to your knees

And praying for sanity

Reaching for the light

But never living in it

Can I really change

Or is this the end for me

Only time will tell

And only I will know

Whoa... awesome! I like the flow of it... I think I sensed some rhyme. ;) And, of course, like always, your tones and emotions are very fitting!

This piece has a lot of meaning in it... I sort of think of the main concept of Christianity when I read it: sacrifice for others to thrive... :P Thanks for posting this one. :)

emotion. The stanzas flowed from one line to the other
