Love is Love

My girlfriend and I are a great example of the common long-distance relationships. If you love someone, you will wait and be patient, no matter how long. Love is love, no matter what.

Laughing pure delight

The two young lovers

Finally met in spite

Of comments from others.

 

It wouldn’t work out

Their love wasn’t real

The distance between

Was too great a deal.

 

But then they flew across the map

Into each other’s embrace

Baring the words of those who spoke

They kissed and all was erased.

 

Love is real

No matter the circumstances

For, when you love

You take all the chances.

Best of luck to you both! A few years ago, a friend of mine moved from Denmark to Australia because of love. She's happily married now. A long distance relationship will work out if you want it to. Love conquers everything. As long as there is love, there is a life to live together.

Great poem.
Great story of love, I once believe in that love of no matter the
distance love can conquer all but unfortunately for me it didn't work out that way.
Was in a long distance relationship for 10 yrs. but the distance got the best of us.
I hope for you it will work out for the best no matter the circumstances.

Thank you, and so do I. It's been hard, even for two years. We finally met each other a week ago. Saddest moment in my life watching her leave to get on her plane. Yet, we are planning for her to move to my location and attend college with me. I hope to God that it works out.

I can totally relate to the feeling and emotion. I also did the whole moving from where I was but alas it wasn't meant to be after all those years... But anyways you two are young and have a whole new life to live and experience once you are both together. Don't ever let anyone talk you out of what you want because in the end you are the only one who knows what truly makes you happy. I'm cheering for you guys. Remember a relationship works two ways don't always be the one who gives it your all when the other doesn't.
