Sunshine no more.

Sunshine no more.

A Poem by Michael Alexander Friedman
"

It's all positive and funny until the pain comes along and stomps on everything.

"
Sunshine no more.

Morning approaches
Sun peaks up behind the mountains
Birds chirping
People laughing
Then
Out of know where
The clouds start to form
Then the sunshine turns into rainfall
Laughing turns into crying
All I think
All Anybody can think is tears, and pain
Alone
No sunshine anymore
No chirping birds
No laughing people
All there is
Is just pain
Sorrow
Tears
Rain
Thunder
Lighting
And in my mind
The sun will never be again
For I am in pain for now and forever
The only light in my life
Is the light I see
When
I
Die
And maybe then
When I'm lying there
Dead as can be
Maybe then and only then.
Will the sun come out again

The End

Wow a dark poem for sure....but love the depth of honest expression contained therein.
