What would you do if you saw someone you truly care about laying in a field, a dagger through his heart?

Amber and her little brother, Isaac, are on the run; constantly moving from place to place while trying to keep their identities a secret to the world. Why? Because they're different. Because they're not human. Their kind have been outcasted from the beginning of time because of their power, because of what they can do. So when Jacob and his friends suspect Amber and her little brother to be who they're trying not to be, what will she do? Because the consequence....is death.
