On this beautiful, winters night

On the crisp, winters night,

The snow softly falls from the clouds.

Creating a dusting of snow,

Beautiful and sparkling white.

 

The crackling of the log fire, so warm,

You can feel the rosiness of your cheeks.

At the corner of your eye,

Twinkling from the Christmas tree lights.

 

Such peace in the ambience,

Thoughts of true bliss and serenity.

Slowly drifting off into a dream,

On this beautiful, winters night.

A nice poem although for me it lacks interest. You suggest things that are common knowledge and therefore don't leave that much of an impression. I don't mean to say it is a bad poem. It is nice. It's just a bit bland.
