Do you understand what you have done?

 

Hurt and betrayal

I don’t understand

I knew you were a different kind

The world could turn you ice-cold

But turning against me?

 

I am hurt

I am sad

You say you’re sorry

That you don’t have a choice

 

I say you’re greedy

 

So bottled up in your own little world

Living by a double moral

 

I feel sorry for you

I really do

But this doesn’t work

 

A friend

I have few

I love them

 

I thought of you as a dear friend

A close friend

Someone who understood

 

I was there for you

You were grateful for that

I have been there for you

Helping you out

time after time

 

And this is how you repay me?

 

Hurt and betrayal

That is all that’s left

 

Otherwise I’m empty

But I’m slowly filling up

Because hurt and betrayal

 

It can only bring pain
