honestly

honestly

A Poem by Shaun Rudie

I find myself laughing

this is all such a process,

a fortunate telling thought-stepping

segue into action,

a hurried pause to

gather resources, like a

late parent picking up a

child from school

and at times we even value

ourselves honestly,

but that becomes ether when

someone else enters the picture

honesty is a rare value,

seen from above

it has wings,

and beneath it,

the world

it is known to incite

laughter

And I am smiling, and I agree, and I love truth in all its forms. Rare bird. And do we ever truly know each other, or ourselves? Others influence...
Nit-pick: and did you mean "laughter" last word?
Enjoyed this.
