Sky Watching

Sky Watching

A Poem by MiriamMB
"

I love learning about what's going on outside of our galaxy. Our universe is just amazing.

"

I look to the sky for a sign that there are worlds outside of this planet,

While we scramble to pay our bills, warm our bodies and mend our hearts,

stars are being born and planets are roiling with waves of fire from our sun’s heat,

It’s purposeful chaos out there, it is a calculated, destructive march to the beginning,

And I wish I could see it. I wish I could look to the sky at night and see the end of a star,

the beginning of a planet,

the expansion of the universe, the great hurling towards the edge of it all.

Immense perspective always invites circumspection beyond our seemingly impossible predicaments that dissolve or resolve in a matter of hours.
