This was written because everyone deserves a chance to bemoan their salad days of youth, particularly the times that were ''wasted'' on unworthy individuals. : )

My one true love did once say

they would catch me if I’d fall.
My one true love did once say
they’d come running if I’d call.

My one true love did once say
they’d stand with me when it’s bad.
My one true love did once say
they’d be the best friend that I had.

My one true love did once say
they’d remain in years to come.
My one true love did once say
our friendship was never done.

The only thing I didn’t earn
was my true love’s love in return.
