The difference from the inside to the outside

Beautify the outside

Jagged on the inside

Smiles drip sincerity

Hiding pain you'll never see

For every laugh

and all the glee

A shattered heart

is really me

For all my tears and hurt

I hid away

In hope that I'll be whole again

another day

We all need to face those trials But it is never easy and no one can say they know what each of us goes through in the recesses of our minds as each of us tend to judge ourselves much harsher than any other .Your greatest asset is your ability to make another feel by putting in writing your true feelings and the short stanzas are an asset you can say more in a few words than many in a few paragraphs

Great description of how our inner world differs from our outer world at times and how we all wear masks from time to time. This is not a very long poem, but it is easily read and easily understood, and so much is said in just these few words. Very well written. I enjoyed it!

Nice write. Beautifully jagged, very cool. This brings up a question though, what keeps us from being whole? Interesting. Its funny how we deny ourselves the right to be ourselves, i blame society. The goal of which is to make everyone the same. Celebrate Your Unique! Without it youd be just another sheep. Anywho, thought provoking poem....
