Sorrow's Path

Sorrow's Path

A Poem by modtoddinc

I.

To dream of what may be,
from seeds; antiquity

I traveled, the wetter

roads of sorrow,

past heavy leaves to marrow

deep among the trees

tall, long standing judgments;

demonstrators...
...softly chanting, “here comes death's participator

II.

She is the fire, heating realms

for liquid's desire; flowing free to

unclog the roots of reluctance,

green shoots the impossible,
the yellow sky; remarkable

a mustard seed
miniscule in direction
arises strong, to a higher place

alive, a loving passion.

III.

Then this too, a failure
falling from an ax edge

sowing the forest's tenure

a death none the less

for dreams to be forgotten

absent; another blessed, who's pathway he's

considered rotten.

It seems like you have a crowd that points the finger and judges
and she is the only one who doesnt
who is pure enough to take you away

lovely

To dream of what may be. A great opening.

The trees stand to judge...strong imagery.

Thank you for visiting and reviewing my poem.

I felt more sadness than hope.
"Then this too, a failure

The poem told a story of journey, place and ending. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
