In a Moment

In a Moment

A Poem by modtoddinc

I love tires squealing on dirt,

in a 1970’s car chase,

Or cowboy boots in dry gravelly dust,

And a Clint Eastwood squint face,

I love you in a sundress
With a simple smile flirt.

A heart desires the chase.

I love jasmine in the breeze
And a ice cream brain freeze

Baseballs flying around the yard, and actually trying something hard.

Everything has its face.

I love romantic getaways in exotic places,

But I have never been there.

Strange how time travel is real within a human lifetime,

There it is in the rhythm and the rhymes

The day is at hand,
Cease it,

Seize the moment.
